I’ve spent the past few months squirrelling away on my latest book. I’ve been designer, creator, photographer, writer, editor, proof reader and general dogsbody. It’s been a real labour of love and I’m incredibly proud of myself.
I wanted to do a follow up to my first book, Making Sugar Models, so I’ve created a book full of full cake designs and lots of cute models. We’ve got animals, people and even a dragon!
Once again the start of the book is crammed full of the tips and tricks that I have learned along the way, including a detailed section on how to model faces and hands. You’ll also find a recipe for a Funfetti cake and instructions on how to prepare your cake for decorating. I love sharing my modelling knowledge and it’s been really exciting to be in complete control of this book and its contents.
Let’s get technical, it’s a beautiful hardback book with 184 pages and packed with step by step photos and detailed instructions. I’ve also included weights and measurements, so that you can easily recreate the models to the same scale.
