PME CMC/Tylo Powder 20g

CMC / Tylo Powder can be used as a binder and thickener for sugarpaste to create modelling paste and edible glue.

To make your own home-made modelling paste you will need a block of sugarpaste and some CMC/Tylo Powder. Simply knead 1/2tsp (or 1tsp for a firmer paste) of Tylo Powder into 250g of Sugarpaste. Wrap the paste in a sandwich or Zip lock bag and leave for around 3 hours. When you come back to it, you will have modelling paste.

To make edible glue. Sprinkle 1 part CMC/Tylo over 30 parts water. Which I’ll be honest with you is impossible to measure! So I tend to fill my pot and sprinkle some on top. Leave it over night and when you come back, you’ll have glue. If it’s too runny, add some more CMC/Tylo, if it’s too dry, add more water.

The glue will last up to a week. It’s cheap as chips to make!
