Terms & Conditions


Deposits and payments.
1.1 The deposit listed on your order confirmation form is due on or before the date given, which is 14 days after your order is placed. Your cake is not booked in until this is paid.
1.2 If the deposit is not paid by the due date, your order will be cancelled. You will be emailed or messaged before this happens.
1.3 Deposits are non refundable, unless the order is cancelled within 14 days of booking. (See 2.2)
1.4 Deposits for Celebration cakes are 50% of the total cost.
1.5 Deposits for Wedding Cakes are 30% of the total cost.
1.6 Full payment on your order is required before delivery, which is 7 days prior to delivery for celebration cakes and 28 days prior to delivery for wedding cakes.These dates will be confirmed on your order confirmation.

2.1 If for any reason you wish to cancel your order please email Vicky@Yellowbeecakecompany.co.uk.
2.2 Orders cancelled within 14 days of booking will receive a full refund unless work has already started on the order.
2.3 Orders cancelled after 14 days will lose their deposit. You will also be billed for any work completed on the order.
2.4 Orders cancelled with less than a week until delivery will require full payment and no refunds will be given.
2.5 In the unlikely event I need to cancel an order I will give as much notice as possible and give a full refund.

3.1 I will strive to create your cake exactly to the design description given, however the design may need to be altered for it to work on the cake.
3.2 All cakes are hand crafted, because of this there may be slight variations in colour and the overall look of the cake.
3.3 If you need to change the design of your cake, please let me know as early as possible to ensure the change is viable.
3.4 Celebration cake designs may be amended up to 7 days before the delivery date.
3.5 Wedding Cakes designs may be amended up to 4 weeks before the wedding delivery date.
3.6 The price may change due to the worked need. This can go up or down.

Delivery and Set up
4.1 Delivery is available 7 days a week from 9am to 8pm. Please select a time that best suits your needs
4.2 Delivery within 5 miles of RG21 5RL is free. Delivery further afield will be charged at 90p a mile. Ie, if you live 8 miles away, you will be charged £2.70.
4.3 I strive to deliver cakes on time, however I cannot be held liable if weather, traffic or other conditions out of my control delay the delivery.
4.4 Please make me aware if there is anything that will make delivery hard. Such as no parking, roadworks or your house isn’t easy to find.
4.5 Delivery and Set up of complex orders, such as cupcake towers or dessert tables may include a small set up fee.

Stand Hire
5.1 Stands are hired out at a cost of £15 for Cake Stands and £15-£25 for Cupcake Towers.
5.2 A fully refundable security deposit of £65 is required to hire a stand.
5.3 The deposit will be returned in full no later than 3 days after return of the stand as long as the stand is returned in the condition it was borrowed.
5.4 Please do not wash the stand. You may wipe it with a damp cloth if needed.
5.5 Any damage will be assessed and your deposit may be held to cover repairs or replacements.
5.6 All hired items must be returned within 3 days of the event. Unless otherwise stated, it is up to you to return the stand to me.
5.7 If the stand is not returned within 3 days, a further fee of £5 per day will be added until the stand is returned.
5.8 Collection of the stand from the venue is available and will incur a small fee depending on location. Please let me know when ordering.

Publication and Advertising
6.1 The photos taken of your cake before they are delivered belong to the Yellow Bee Cake Company.
6.2 The photos will appear on our website, facebook page and any other social media accounts we hold.
6.3 The photos may be used in future publications or advertising.
6.4 If you would like copies of the photos for personal use only please email Vicky@Yellowbeecakecompany.co.uk

Returns and Problems
7.1 If you are unsatisfied with the design of the cake please inform me on delivery. At this point there is still time to amend the cake design, so that you are happy with it.
7.2 If you wish to return the cake, please email Vicky@YellowBeeCakeCompany.co.uk or call 07887 513 711 at the earliest opportunity. Clearly explain the problem.
7.3 If the cake is damaged before delivery, all efforts will be made to fix the damage.
7.4 The Yellow Bee is not responsible for any damage caused after delivery or after collection.
7.5 Any work reparing a cake damaged through no fault of my own will incur a fee.

8.1 Full payment or a 50% deposit is required to book a space.
8.2 If the deposit payment is chosen, the remaining balance for the class is due no later than 2 weeks before the date of the class. An email invoice will be sent confirming this.
8.3 Payment is required within 24 hours of booking using the BACS payment method.
8.4 Please make me aware of any allergies before booking.
8.5 Spaces cancelled more than 28 days before the class date will receive a refund at the Yellow Bee Cake Companies discretion.
8.6 Spaces cancelled within 28 days of the class date will receive a refund (minus banking charges) only if the space is filled by another paying customer.
8.7 Class designs/notes/guides/videos are copyright Vicky Turner & Yellow Bee Cake Company. They are for personal use only and must not be reproduced without written permission from the Yellow Bee.

Looking after your Cake
9.1 Please store your cake in the delivery box in a cool room away from direct heat and out of direct sun.
9.2 Please keep pets away from the cake. We all know they’re quite partial to a bit of cake.
9.3 Please do not place your cake in the fridge, as this dries out the sponge and causes the icing to sweat, losing colour and shape.
9.4 Once cut wrap any cut edges in clingfilm to preserve the freshness.
9.5 The cake is best eaten within 48 hours of delivery. However it can last up to a week.

10.1 The Yellow Bee cannot guarantee the kitchen is allergen free. Therefore I do not supply cakes for anyone with any dietry allergy.

Reward Card
11.1 Reward cards are offered to students attending classes with the Yellow Bee Cake Company.
11.2 1 stamp is earnt from attending 1 class.
11.3 Current rewards are: Collect 5 stamps and receive 50% off the value of your next class.
Collect 9 stamps and receive a free class.
11.4 Rewards do not apply to Full Day Classes.
11.5 Once a reward has been claimed the card is void. You will need a new card to start collecting stamps.
11.6 The Yellow Bee Cake Company has the right to remove the reward and loyalty scheme at any time.

Discounts and Offers
12.1 Discounts and Offers are offered at the discretion of the Yellow Bee.
12.2 Please ensure you check out using the discount coupon, this cannot be added onto your order after the order is completed.
12.3 Follow the social media accounts for up to date offers.
